SALBERTRAND
In ancient times Salbertrand was under the Delfinato and under the France, but in 1713 fell to the House of Savoy.
The 14th-15th century parish church of St. John the Baptist offers wonderful frescoes. In the centre of the village you can admire many stone fountains and among them there's the beautiful fountain of the 1524 in S.Rocco square.
Salbertrand is sorrounded by ancient villages that perfectly represent the wood and stone mountain architecture.
In the colombano Romean Museum you can enjoy materials of the regular work day or of the old traditions: the stone quarry, the ancient water-mill, the charcoal pit and the old oven.
